Getting too dry? Picture?

the parent plant started to grow new sprouts on the two branches I had cut back, and on one branch the sprouts only grew half an inch before they would stop growing, thus creating the brown stubbys. then it would send out new sprouts and the cycle would contine. the other branch has decent sized sprouts about an inch long. I will attach a picture of the other branch

I'm just curious as to why they aren't growing normal, unless that is normal. I can attempt a better picture this afternoon, thanks for showing interest :)

IDK what I'm looking at here, very visually confused, but fascinated. Look forward to a pic of the whole thing! (And probably a bunch of people looked but didn't type any response, lots of people interested I'm sure.)

If you provide us with info and pictures that offer us a sense of what you're doing, you'll undoubtedly get your answers; but when we can't see the pictures and there's nothing to go on insofar as info, .......

Plants are reactive organisms and react in predictable ways, but often 1 reaction can have multiple potential causes. Everything they do is a normal reaction. The INFO requested helps to eliminate improbable causes.

Ah, only after posting did i reread the entire post.

If they grew but then suffered and grew again it makes me wonder if they way you care for them changed. Did you change watering habits? Did you move them outside or inside?

Nope the only thing I did out of the normal was the air layers, but that was on different branches to begin with.
