| Hi,
I got a peace lily from Ikea few months back. It was lush and had blooms when I bought it. It gave 2-3 blooms after coming home and then stopped. It slowly started turning brown at leaf tips. I tried different watering schedules but no luck. Now,the leaves are completely turning brown, even the big ones. Its in indirect light, mostly bulb lighting. I use a woven pot, it came with plastic liner inside, so I put some drainage holes with a fork and placed it in a tray. Is that not enough? are the roots getting rotten? I read somewhere peace lilies can survive even in aquariums and dont get rotten roots. perhaps, that's not the case? I don't want to see it die. Please help. pictures are below for reference.
Thanks a million! |

| Bad soil, too much water and too much salt accumulation as a result, and most likely insufficient light. Remove those browned leaves and re-pot into a more porous mix. It looks like it will survive just fine. Josh |

| I agree with Josh and in desperate need of a repot. When you repot make sure you trim off the bad rotting roots. Search for peace lily on this forum you should find plenty of threads to read thru. |

| I'll add that you should pls. use a real plastic pot or liner, OR, make many more holes in the liner you've mentioned, tho' I'd wash it out well first. Fork holes alone are not likely to be enough drianage holes. |
