Must be a peperomia...

It is definitely a Peperomia, the question is species. It can be P.clusifolia or P.obtusifolia or another r species

I believe the spike is its flower, I may be wrong about that, purple will know for sure when she reads your post...

Yes, Peps make those weird flowers. Nice looking plant! I'm not sure this is P. obtusifolia, which has round leaves. There's so many diff ones... not sure which it might be.

This plant looks like what I heard called a Hoya, It flowers and has a sweet nectar from the flower.
Flowering plants in the genus hoya are part of the Asclepiadaceae family, otherwise known as the milkweed family. Newer taxonomy places the genus in the Apocynaceae (dogbane) family.
Full to partial sun. Plants that receive less than a half day of sun may not produce flowers.

I agree that the leaves do indeed look like a hoya,Oceanbrisa,but those flower spikes are distinctly peperomia,..which has MANY varieties I've never even seen personally.
