Photo of the base of the plant/roots.

They are water spots, you more then likely have hard water thus leaving calcium/salt behind on the roots/leaves. Not much you can do about it other then using distilled water.

I don't care for these, but I think it's staying too wet. That potting mix looks like it's so water retentive (holds water) that it's molding.
