| I have two wondering jews that I just brought in for the winter. Burr is got cold fast here. I had just bought them this year and they are very healthy. They are about 6 foot long and thick. Because of lack of window space I would like to cut them back to maybe 3 foot so I can at least see out the window a little bit. I have seen a lot of discussion on when to prune but am hoping that since it is still early I may be okay. What do you think?
By the way I am new to this site. How would I post a picture? |

| Truly, there really are no hard rules about the timing of pruning for this kind of plant. Wandering Jew, in particular, will do much better inside after a very drastic haircut. |

| Thanks! I am going to give it try and see what happens. I did get some rooting hormone to try to start some new plants from them. I also brought my thyme in for the first time just to see how that does. I had a great growing season this summer even if it was, and always is too short. Learning to grow things in a cooler climate than what I have been used to is a new challenge. |
