Hi,

I have a nice fiddle leaf fig but it has been loosing some leafs lately and I am not sure about the watering. The plant is in a 14 inch pot and about 6.5 feet. I just got it six weeks ago. At the beginning, I watered maybe once every 5 days and the plant took about 1.2 liter. It lost 2 leafs but everything seemed pretty good. I figured the plant lost the leaves because of the recent move. Recently, however, the plant started loosing more leaves. It only takes about 0.4 liters now before the water starts pouring out at the bottom. The soil doesn't really soak up the water. Only the top layer is wet but it remains pretty dry below that. I guess the water finds a very particular way down so that only parts of the soil get wet. What can I do about that?
