Dying Ming Fern?

agariste

Hello! I am hoping someone can help me save a Ming Fern I have had for a few months. It was doing very well and growing rapidly, but after a few months the shoots started getting dark greyish-green or yellow and then brown and dead. I did not change the lighting or watering conditions at all, but now most of the shoots are dead and have been removed. I am hoping it will start putting out new shoots again, but it hasn't in some time?

The plant is indoors in a pot and gets a little water 1 or 2 times a week; it is near a window that gets afternoon sun, but I usually close the blinds partway so it doesn't get too hot or sunny.

Everything I have read online about Ming Ferns has been contradictory, so if anyone has some advice it'd be much appreciated!
