spider mite cure

I was reading a vivarium forum and they used dry ice to kill pests in their tanks. It suffocates them because of the co2...so if I had a plant with spider mites and put it in an airtight plastic bin...and put dry ice in bowls and pored hot water over the ice to melt it without a air temp change...then shut it...for an hour or two...would it kill all the Spider mites? It would be a great way to treat multiple plants at once...any one wanna try it and tell us how it works...I would but none of my plants are infected atm...thanks...michael
