One of the major functions of aerials is to seek out something to grab a hold of as an anchor point to climb from as they grow up the side of a tree(or whatever is handy).

If you take a drinking straw and put a slice all the way down it(handy for removal later),you can train them to go where you want them to go.

Best bet is to direct them back into the container.

I always leave them. The aeriel roots can also provide water and nutrients to the upper portions of the plants. Yours is still small so that may not be a concern yet but I also think they look cool.
