Croton Stem Cuttings Part 2

I started two croton cuttings this past summer. They're doing great. But I've noticed that in both plants, a root has already worked its way around the shard and is coming out through the hole.

Should I transplant both to larger pots (they're in 4" clay pots now) or is it okay to leave them alone until spring? I don't think they can have much of a root system yet -- one was started on Mother's Day, the other sometime around July 4.

Thanks in advance!
