Maybe you have Boston ferns? I successfully kept a couple, a couple years ago. I actually thought they were pretty much dead, and threw them outside in the spring, and they bounced back. My best advice is keep them in your heated area..not too hot. And keep them moist, but not water logged. Also never let dry out for long periods of time. Also, I had them in a window that got a lot of sun. But, I don't know compared to what you have. So maybe you should keep in a window with a lot of sun, and if it seems to be to much, move to a window with a little less. You will probably lose a lot of leaves over the winter, but that is okay if you keep it cleaned out. And when you set the plant out in spring be sure to get the ferns on a regular fertilizer schedule that is high in nitrogen. I stopped trying to keep mine because I just don't have the room, and they got so scraggly by spring. So I don't know if somebody else knows how to keep them lush all winter, but I know that my advice will at least keep them alive. :) good luck -Camille |

| Hi Jennie,I've great success over-wintering ferns, specially Kimberly ferns..I actually put mine in the garage and water every two to three weeks..many people assume that ferns need heat constantly but I have found this not to be the case..good luck Marion |
