Oh, THAT'S what that plant is! I kept seeing it at the drug store and a local nursery, but of course it was just labeled 'foliage plant'. Now I know not to get one, because I don't have that much (any, really) space. But at least I know what I'm missing.

You can't send Iresine through the mail in winter - it'll freeze and die, plus it needs so much water that if packaged to 'hold' the water, in the dark, in plastic, will end up rotting by the time it arrives. The stems are very thin and it's a fairly fragile thing. You could probably find seeds on an on-line site though - google 'houseplant seeds'.

I just bought some seeds off Ebay. They were $2.50 plus 0.75 for shipping.

I agree- this plant is beautiful and doesn't require much care. Give it very bright light to maintain the coloring. It prefers more water than a lot of other plants, but I would definitely not put it in a pot that had no drainage holes.

Mine has been thriving in a pot with no drainage holes for 3 years now. I grow it with Arrowhead plant, which is a water plant, and they love the wet soil. Both love the wet soil. Perhaps Irisine is a water plant, too, but I see no bad results, just good ones.
