Asian money tree Prop

hello everyone I'm new to the forums and wanted to ask a quick question. So far I have noticed that this is a pretty good place to for knowledge.

I work in a greenhouse and have been asking around but I don't think they could help me in the house plant area.

Anyways to the question:

I have an Asian money tree that I am trying to nurse back to health and in the case of it dying I would like to try and prop a new one from some cuttings. I have read about how to take the cutting and what not but if I use one cutting will I get one trunk or will it grow into 4 like the braided one I have?

I would assume that I need to prop 4 and then put them together but I thought I would ask before I start the process.

Thanks in advance for the help
