Hi All, I ended up w/ a cutting of this a few months ago & grew it on in water. I kept seeing Josh's plant of this in my mind's eye. Was happy in water. This guy is eager to grow, I recently potted it up.

| Hey, how cool, Karen! :-D When I chopped my Pachira this Summer, I stuck the top in a container of barky mix, The main plant looks like I never pruned it at all. I'm going to have to chop hard if I want

Karen, congrats. I had no idea Pachira rooted in water. Your plant is very healthy and vivid green. Please post its progress. I'm curious how long it takes to mature..Toni

Strong work Karen! I have no idea how you do it...Especially with San's in which I also had no idea you could root the way you do:-0) Mike

Well Thanks Mike, It's easy, get a piece of something to propagate & come home & drop it in a bottle of water "'til I have a moment to deal w/ it'. Then forget all about it 'til sometime later I notice it developing root nodes when I run my fingertips around the bottom of the wet stem. Toss some charcoal bits into the water (to keep it from getting yucky or growing algae) & that's it. The Sans. I was told would do that (much to my disbelief), I think our friend Norma told me. I've also been told to do this w/ Euph milii cuttings (they tend to rot before rooting when I pot them up in mix). Hey Josh, These Pachira are very pretty plants, growing in the water, the leaves are so pristine, I hope mine stays this nice even now that it's in mix. Thx for the inspiration!!
