Like most plants from bulbs, they don't like wet feet. After you plant them, keep the upper part of the soil barely moist by misting it occasionally.

When I cared for my mother's plants, I would take them from her house to my house in the fall, cut the tops off, store them ,dry, in the basement until spring, repot in a very open gritty soil, get them started for her by offering a few sips of water in the spring, & take them back to her around mid-May. She would fertilize them all summer on a regular basis - every 2 weeks, I think, and they would bloom like crazy until their next winter's rest.

Yea see i got mine mail order recently.end of november..i.planted them an inch deep in a four inch pot. Watered well till water came out drainage holes. Then set on my light shelf under shoplight. I guess i shouldn't have watered till water came out the drainage holes after planting??. After u first potted up your bulbs did you give them a cold treatment in the fridge say as u would do forcing tulips daffs etc or did u just pot. Water very lightly and wait. And so were on the same page this is potting them in the house in pots to use as a houseplant. I live in a Apt building. No garden here lol.

Oxalis get by with minimal moisture while growing and will go dormant for part of the year even if grown indoors.

Please notice the final statement about growing them indoors:
"Late in the summer the leaves will yellow and die back as the plant slips into dormancy. Foliage many be removed at this point. Your oxalis will rest for a month or two before beginning the next growing cycle."
