Poor Ivy. Any hope?

My ivy plant is dying -- all its leaves are turning brown and falling off, and most of its stems are turning woody and darker.

It's currently 4' away from both West and North facing windows, receiving water (left out overnight) only when dry a knuckle or two down.

Any hope for saving it? Anything in particular I should do?
