| We are planning to do some work on our bathroom later this year and I'm wondering how feasible it would be to makea concrete sink. You can get wonderful stone sinks these days like free standing bowls which sit on top of a wooden table but they are amazingly expensive - you can easily spend UK£500 (US$1,000 or so) - so I wondered if I could make my own.
The tricky bit (I think)is going to be the surface finish which obviously has to be very smooth and sealed. One alternative would be to sand it smooth and then use a concrete sealer, but I'm wondering if there are any "glaze" type products which I could use which would take care of small surface inperfections. Does anyone have any experience of this type of thing? Thanks! |
