Hanger for plaque after the fact

I made a plaque to hang on the wall and it is one of my first projects. I am not sure if it will turn out. I made it 16 hours ago. It is about 1-1 1/2 inch thick and cement and sand so will be heavy. About 12in by 24in.
I cant believe I forgot to put a hanger in the back!
Can I like drill holes and fill with cement and stick in the coat hanger. How would you guys do it?

You can mortar a piece of plastic straw on the back and thread your wire through the straw. The wires going to rust so this way, when or if it breaks, you can just thread another piece of wire through the straw. You may want a straw holder on either side/end as it looks like it's long and heavy. Billie

You are so so smart!! I knew I could count on my new tufa friends to help me out. Should I use the same mix or make it stronger cement to sand ratio. I used cement to sand about 1 to 2 1/2. How think would I have to cover the straw?
