Hypertufa and diamond wire armature
I have only just found out about hypertufa.
I have been working with various concrete mixes, quick wall, one coat stucco and plain old portland II with a friend.
We make armatures out of diamond wire and make various creatures by embedding the concrete and building it up. it is a pain to do!
What kind of formula do I need to do something similar in hypertufa? Can you add lime to the mix to help it adhere? What consistency should the mix be for this?
Also, what about coloring? Some kind of post dye or pigment, and what is a good source? Currently we either dye the concrete during the mix or prime and paint.
I'm surprised to find a hypertufa forum, and excited to possibly get some help.
My friend is doing this as a tribute to her friend Mr Imagination, who was a famous artist that sometimes worked in concrete. If he was still alive, this might have been easier to figure out!
