My Face Experiment

I have been a long-time lurker on this Forum and picked up many great ideas from the talented people who post here. Now that photos are easier to upload, I thought I'd share the project I'm working on. Inspired by a very expensive "face" at my local garden centre, I thought about how I'd make my own. A big blue plastic barrel with the top cut off was lying on its side in the sun and the top had flattened somewhat. I started layering papercrete on it to form a face, although I'm sure you could use hypertufa. It has dried enough that I could stand it up (and was very excited that it stood on its own and is very stable). It is about 32" high. The back and top need to be finished with another layer and I need to tweak the eyes and the lower lip. I plan to paint and seal it when I'm done.
