| The Perlite of choice is Industrial A light or a bit stronger and heavier choice is Industrial A Heavy.
Both are like course sand and used in applications where light weight is important. For vermiculite Pool Pad is a great choice.
In fact you can buy a Readymix of Pool Pad Vermiculite Portland cement and admix.

| "Never throw anything away!" that's what DH always says. Many years ago we had an indoor swimming pool built and the workers left four huge bags of that vermiculite. We tripped over it in the shed too many times and finally threw it out a couple of years ago. Dang!! And now all I can find to buy are the small expensive bags at Walmart. |
