Just reporting in from Homestead, Fla. Former home of Hurricane Katrina. It was one hairy night, but all the concrete creations survived out there without a scratch.

Oh, and the family and house is fine too! Lost about 1/2 my avocado crop. Little buggers were like 2 lb. missiles out there!

Streets flooded, lots of people without power, but thankfully little loss of life. Should keep really humid for the next few days - great for Tufa!

She's now in the Gulf of Mexico strengthening. If you are in her predicted path, my advice to you would be to head for the hills!
