| I finally noticed that you were using portland, sand and peat. And making patties and placing them on whatever you were making. Those 2 things make a huge difference. I am so happy with the look it gives me and the patties make my projects so much easier. The patties seem to compact the turfa mix and it stays put. I had a couple places that I didn't pat the patties together enough but have corrected that. Wish I would of noticed what you were saying a long time ago. That was the whole reason I was jumping back and forth with the quikcrete sand & topping mix. Thanks again, Kathy |

Kathy, In our fast paced e-mail/fax society, everyone is reading fast and I think they don't "see". I sometimes find myself impatient for a fax to go through, if you can believe that. The "patties" make it so much easier. Try making hotdogs too! You have to compact/tamp/blend the patties into one another. Make sure that you work around the mold doing one row of patties at a time. This way, you'll be able to check the thickness of the walls as you work to the top of the mold. Billie |
