Bless you! Next winter plant a pot of grass in your brightest window. If you use a long planter you can take it down and put your bare foot in it. Our grass is the color of straw this time of year. Only the weeds are a pretty green. LOL Until THE THAW comes, hang in there.

DS called yesterday high 8 degrees low -8 degrees Mom it's cold here!!!! Glad I'm just inside because it is raining crazy little drops of stuff every now & then. Hope it is enough to help garden get going for spring. My daffodils are up about a foot so may bloom if frost doesn't get them! Our mountains are light straw colored this time of yr too. Looks just like TX & Susie's! A few years ago for EAster we were going to Palmdale as DB lived there at the time, there was snow on the way & I took some pics & it was up to 8-12 in. in spots & all over coming through the snow were poppies- the orange Ca. type & a purple flower. Oh what a beautiful sight! My camera wasn't digital at the time. So I guess I can't put a pic on . Snow doesn't seem to faze the flowers! Jan

Glad you are back too much. I can't even plant my indoor seedlings until next month so I know how you feel. But now is the time to look at seed catalogs. I was so mad when they started coming befoe Christmas instead of January when the "shoudl" in my opinion. I might make some plate flowers this week which you were my inspiration for. Anything to avoid the blues! take care

I hear ya, girlfriend! I was thinking of stopping at GW on my way home for work and thought I better not. I have enough junk in my apartment that I haven't done anything with yet! I can definitely relate though!
