What the heck!!! How does it do that?!!! I could understand if you gave it some information like the # after you subtacted the others or if you pointed to it with your mouse or something (which I purposely didn't) but I don't understand this... I gotta find out. Thanks this is really cool, but now I will be on a quest to figure out how this works. Donna

The only times it got it wrong was when I subtracted wrong!
I even tried to trick it and just picked a number at randoom......it got it right!

I know how it does it! We all tend to mouse our cursor into the square that we choose. I tricked it by mousing the square next to my number. Very fun and tricky!

My dh figured it out. Don't read on unless you want to ruin your fun, lol,

When you subtract the 2 numbers you always get one of 8 numbers: for example, 99 minus 18 equals 81 and so does 98 minus 17. In other words if you picked a number int he nineties you get 81 after you do the subtraction. If you piced a number in the eighties you get 72 after you do the subtration and so on. It always comes out a multiple of 9. If you look at the square you will notice that all the multiples of 9 have the same "gift" written in the square. (9, 18, 27, 36 etc) The square is arranged so that these numbers are never next to each other keeping the illusion that every square has a different item in it.

Its very clever and interesting though. I thought I had fooled it once, but I subtracted wrong, lol.
