Hi Jan, We drove up the 210 fwy on the way to Modesto and by the burnt trailer park. It's amazing that everyone got out of that disaster. I think you live near there. We had a nice trip to Modesto. We stayed at nice Best Western in the very nice downtown, just a couple of blocks from the wedding, and right behind the McHenry mansion, which we visited. Great old house. We went to 9 TSs and found a few things, nothing unusual. We ate lunch at the Old Mill Cafe, a great local place.

They have really nice 12" wide dog ear fence boards everywhere in Modesto, maybe because they're so close to the lumber industry. I've been curb shopping fence boards for awhile and cleaning them up to cover the ugly chain link fence on my slope, and had never seen them that wide. They look great. I didn't take any photos of them, thinking I may find them on the internet, but couldn't find any. HD in Modesto has them, for $12.50 a board. Wow! Buying the narrow ones here is nowhere near $1 per inch! I figured out how to cut the edges of the old ones straight, join two together, and they make a nice almost 11" wide board, for almost no cost!! Here's my before/after. They're only primered, but will be golden yellow. The bottoms will be trimmed off. Linda
