how to waste time, LOL

Well, when I took my Valentine decorations down last Sunday, I lost my bit of "festivity" around here. So now I have my St Patrick's decorations up. LOL.

Every since I joined the Holiday Forum two years ago, I've gotten so hooked on decorating for ALL the Holidays. Not in a big way like Christmas of course. Just small touches.

A grapevine wreath on my front porch, that I RE-decorate for each little Holiday. I do my family-room mantle, my "stacked plates" on the kitchen table....tho this time I substituted them with some neat candleholders I found at a bargain price. I'll do the plates for Easter tho.

I also love the bell jar in my bathroom to decorate. A story about the decor in it....there's a tiny rabbit figurine that was a Christmas gift from my VERY SPECIAL 'adopted' niece. She's 8 yrs old and she went shopping at TS with her own money to find me a present! She knows how I love bunnies and this one is darling. I put him in the bell jar that was decorated for Christmas.

When she saw the photo, I think she was really happy I used her bunny. So I decided he was going to stay in there and be part of ALL the decorations. So he got "Valentine-d" and now the Irish green for him. This is such fun for me, and I love her so much.

I love all your bunnies& your niece did a great job shopping for you. Very sweet bunny!! The wreath is lovely!! I ususally decorate for all the holidays but haven't come up with much for St. Pat. day. Did you paint the bunnies on the dowels, they are so pretty!! Jan

You are something else Miss Karen! Who would have been able to come up with so many neat St. Patty's day decorations but you? Love all of your little leprechauns (I had to google that word, btw...lol)! Your bunnies are great and all of the green just makes me smile cause spring is coming! Great job on all of your decorations! Thanks for sharing them with us!

Jan, those two running rabbits on the mantle are from Jim Shore's Heartwood Creek collection. You can see more on eBay or google them for better photos.

My St Patrick decorations was mostly bought at Dollar Tree and after Holiday sales the last two years. Some of the ornaments on the little trees came from Collections Etc.

I've got a LOT of Easter stuff, will be challenging this year to decorate with. LOL. I have trouble resisting things on sale or at GW.

I LOVE YOUR DECORATIONS! I have often explored your albums to see your holiday creations and I've been known to lurk on the holiday forum! Tonight, Olivia (our daughter) and I looked at your decorations together! She wants to know why we don't decorate inside for St. Paddy's Day like that. I told her that we will have to get Karen up here to decorate our home (and babysit)! Olivia particularly loved your bell jar! :o) Thanks for sharing and inspiring, Karen!
