WOW! I can't wait to show that site to my son. He loves to tear things apart...clocks, radios and things...and make something new out of them. He is homeschooled and I think this one could be worked into a really fun lesson plan. Thank you for sharing it Jeanne. I might actually learn a thing or two along the way and I know we will have fun with it.

Smick...you've probably already done this, but Google his name, Steve Gerberich, & you'll get the home page and others...yes, this exhibition in Waterloo is great for students to explore themes of "recycling and mechanical engineering, build critical thinking skills and experience science, hisotry, language arts, and technology in an exciting new way!" This is a postcard I got at exhibit...it's a memorial by Steve G. to a college friend who bequeathed his tackle, pole and waders to him...called "Gone Fishin'." (looks like artist is holding fish in backgrd)
