Hi Debby. That's really funny. Our squirrels around our house chat during the summer a lot. We feed our squirrels peanuts and corn. I hope we don't have any squirrels trying to get into our house. I hope you don't keep spoiling the wildlife. Sincerely, Olivia

Very cute!! But they like to hide things & chew on things so would get pretty mess fast!! bumps under rugs, edge of doors chewed, corner of sofa!! I think Olivia has the right idea to keep the squirrels outside!! Oh, I think 6 toes might just chase the squirrels back outside it they ever got in the house. Jan

Yes, they could make a big mess, and they can leap 12 feet or more. I freaked out once at the Milwaukee Public Museum when they had a presentation for kids on wild animals. They were talking about a squirrel when it suddenly leaped across the room from one presenter to another! I kept a very close eye on him after that!

I had a similar experience with a squirrel. I heard some scratching at the back door when I was a teenager. I thought it was one of our dogs wanting to come back in the house. So I opened the door and looked out. Didn't see either of the dogs. So I opened the screen door and a little bugger of a squirrel came barreling towards the open door! I closed it just in time. Good gawd! I could just see the havoc a' wreakin' between a squirrel, a cat and two dogs! It definitely put me on the look out for little squirrels by the back door for the entire summer after that.

Ha...I'll never forget the time a raccoon fell through the skylight in my brother's solarium. Talk about havoc...with a raccoon, 3 cats and my brother racing around!! LOL

And then there was the time I opened the front door, and a little field mouse walked in like it owned the place! LOL I don't remember why I opened the door. It probably rang the doorbell!
