I'm sorry it's not Garden Junk , but I wanted to share my pics anyway ! LOL I'm making " mini solar lights with stained glass . " I bought these mini solar lights at Menard's for $3.49 each ! They're about 12" high. I wrapped copper wire around the pole part ,and made stained glass "gardeny" stuff to attach. The stained glass parts will be nickel plated so it's shiny silver and durable for outside. There's butterflies , angels w/flowers,ladybugs,frogs,tulips ,roses ... & my brain is still thinking of stuff ! LOL It's not GJ - but if it can inspire anyone to do some with junk -- that's cool !

Ok, wait....so you MADE all of the stain glass pieces!! OH WOW!! How cool is that?! I'm sitting here drooling on my keyboard! They look so nice...what a great idea and how nice it would be to know how to do stained glass...not one of my talents at the moment though! LOVE them!

OH I love them. I have been wanting to do something original with Solar lighting for my yard. How do you nickel plate them? I have worked glass for several years but have never heard of that. I would love to learn. I want to do so much with glass in my yard.

Smicker -- I send them out to be plated . It's not expensive & the look is awesome ! I do the "simple" stained glass ... nothing has to fit together .. I just solder stuff as I please :)

Wow!! beautiful, wouldn't think they would last very long in front yard tho, neighbors & kids will be taking them home!! I want 1 for inside my house!! Jan
