The Legend of the Dogwood, Passion Flower, and More

check out my blog, I share the legends I grew up with down here on the Gulf of Mexico in Mississippi.

Dogwood, Passion Flower, Crucifix Fish(salt catfish, Sand Dollar, Cherokee Rose, Spanish Moss,and the Singing River

I listed these on my blog...I'd love to know more, and will be adding them when I can. I may not have time to craft much this week.

Amazing legends. The Christian Bible says that "the very rocks will cry out if we fail to praise God. All of creation praise the Lord". Isn't it amazing to see that nature indeed honors God? I use to have a Pastor who would say "No rock is going to do my praising for me"!!! And the lowly catfish, a bottom feeder represents the ultimate highest sacrificial example. Your Blog postings are so enjoyable. Thank you Susie

Thank you for posting this. I knew about all of those except the
catfish (don't know why I didn't know this one-born on the Gulf Coast
of NW Florida and caught lots of blue cats)and the Singing River
legend. We did craft shows in the Singing River Mall (is it still there?) but
never heard that legend.
