Camping in Arkansas

We just got back from 6 day camping trip. We were about 50 miles from the flash flood at Albert Pike campground here in Arkansas,where 19 people lost thier lives this past Friday morning. It was so sad and scary. Campers are some of the nicest people that I know of. Everyone please say a prayer for thier families.

It really was such a tragic thing to happen. Thanks for reminding us to remember their families.

I'm sure that when you go to camp site about the last thing you think of is a flash flood. We used to camp out & I never gave it a thought. They only make campsites where it is safe! Wrong, they had similar thing happen in Grand Canyon not too long ago.Very sad! Jan

Have been watching that on the news. So sad! Prayers said.
Glad you were not in that area.
While Bill was in the Navy we camped a lot of weekends.
After he retired, we 'camped' mostly at craft shows on mall parking lots-about 25 weeks out of the year-grin.
