Aren't suitcases wonderful storage pieces?? Love them. I use mine for all of my tablecloths, doilies, etc. since I have too many to go in my cabinet.

Micki, luv the painted suitcases and your son's storage is so creative. My DIL has some great suitcases too she is an avid book collector so she used to keep her books in there and use as stacked end table.

Those were super finds and they look great. I keep everything from photos to toys in mine. And I use them with a tray for end tables in my sun room. I like to decopouge them also.

I have a collection of vintage suitcases too. I pick them up when I see them at rummage sales, TSs and flea markets. They do make wonderful storage ... unless they stink that is. I took baking powder once and rubbed it into a guitar case that smelled mildewy and then vacuumed it out. It took away the stink without doing any damage to the lining. I never thought to paint them though! They turned out great!
