Tropical storm Lee

I must have set the clocks at least 6-7 time today!

Pensacola is getting the Eastern side band rains for the

T/storm. The wind is not bad, but rain, rain, rain! Flash flood warnings, tornado watch and Thunder storm warnings.

I will see if this post makes it since some of you have not been able to get into the side.

Stay safe Nona....Lee is heading to Virginia later this week with tons of rain.....

I will keep you in my prayers that Lee wasn't too mischievous! I'm like Jan, if I lived somewhere with hurricanes and tornadoes I'd be a nervous wreck. I can stand some cold and snow but that's about it.

Lordy, lordy....we are fine, but DH and I are considering building an ark! It has rained bucket loads this week! We've actually gotten more rain from Lee than from Irene. So far between the two storms we've gotten almost a foot of rain!! Where was all of the agua when we needed it in July and August!

Glad you are OK Marlene! Might not be too bad an idea to get a boat & cover to put beside the house just so you could get out if you had too. I've seen pics of people that did escape bad situation by getting in their boat. Aluminum rowboat might work but if you have strong winds it would blow away. An Ark- got any gopher wood handy?? Guess any wood would do in a pinch!!LOL Stay dry! Jan

Glad to hear that Marlene is ok.
We had LOTS of rain, and wind gusts to 79 MPH.
Couple of small tornados in the area too.
I think 4 houses damaged.Everything fine
in my part of town. In spite of all the rain, the
heat has already dried it up in the sandy soil that
we have. Plants are wilting again.

All in all we had over 15 inches of rain between the two storms, but amazingly, it has ALL soaked in and the ground isn't even mushy. We had been so dry for the past two months, that even though some of it ran off, most of it soaked in. The gardens are really starting to take on that fall scrubby look and the weekend weather has been beautiful!
