Well, I'm a sucker for anything involving rocks...but those are REALLY COOL!! Flat rocks are plentiful in my area, so maybe I'll give it a go this summer. Just wish I had a pick-up truck for the collecting part!

Those are beautiful! It is great that you have a natural resource for them. Around here those rocks would be VERY expensive. Lucky girl. The 'rock shrub' idea is wonderful in a large area. Wouldn't it be super if they were plumbed in the middle to be fountains and had a recirculating pump and reservoir?

Not an inukshuks, and not mile markers....but they look like pinecones/shrubs! They would be totally cool with water flowing through them or a feng shui (sp?) burning fire thing! What hospital are those at? I'm going to have to clip those babies for future reference!
Thanks for sharing!
Love, Jules

Beautiful!! Perfect for drought conditions!! Lot of work getting them in that shape tho!! New meaning to "I have to go wash off the shrubs-their dusty!" Jan

Isn't there an artist that uses flat rocks for sculpture?

I saw them on TV or somewhere, they were cool.

Those are awesome.. I too saw eggs, but I think that's just because I'm itching for spring and wanted them to be easter eggs.
I'd have to wrap them in colorful ribbon around easter time and get a big giant blow up bunny. but I love driving my neighbors nuts lol

LOVE IT!
I've had SERIOUS problems w/ shrubs next to the house getting too big and/or the roots growing toward the foundation.

We'd planned on putting in just that type of wall rounding the one side of the house!

Best of all, no pruning! Can't stand trying to SQUEEEEZE btwn the shrb and house - they STAB me! lol
NOW, when the grandson's come to 4-wheel (we have 62 acres) the gas they use up will be "paid" by bringing up flat rocks for Grandma!

THANKS!
