'Only $850'!!!!!

I was at an antique store today and saw a wonderful potting bench that had a slab of slate for the top. Probably measured 2 and a half feet front to back and about 5 feet long. And it can be mine for the wonderful price of "only" $850!!!

NOT! I think I will sacrifice one of the slate pool table tops I got for free last summer and was going to use for kitchen counters (I will still have enough left for that project.) I'll have to build a heavy duty base for it since those suckers are heavy. Now I just need it to warm up enough to work on it

Wow!! $850 would buy a ton of plants, wouldn't it? Sounds like you already have a good plan going anyway.

What a fabulous idea and use for one of your pool table tops.

A friend gave us some slate pavers. I wonder if I could make that work.
