I took these when we had the sudden arctic blast here in the deep south last week. These survived.

| Frost, ice and fresh snow always looks pretty but I sure could live without them! lol! Those are pretty crystals hanging from your faucet. Interesting shapes. Love your bottle tree too ... frost or not! |

| Here is a photo of my "procrastination pots". I waited too long and they froze under the arbor.

| I had frost all over front yard this morning, Imagine it did some damage but too busy to notice as DB flew in today!! I picked him up at Flyway. Haven't seen him for 3 yrs so it's great! He's my little bro.(I have 4) Didn't ask him what weather was like in Texas this morning! Mom is turning 88 this wed. so she was thrilled when he called last night & told them he was coming. We got the car tire fixed & 4 fluorescent 48 in. bulbs as the lights in garage have been failing last few days. He plans to get in a little snow skiing with other Bro. If they can get up there, they got a lot of snow at Big Bear!! Don't throw the plants out, I'mjustsam, as they might survive if you put them in a warmer area, my succulents are under orange tree & it freezes more every year. I lose parts of them but they come back as long as not completely frozen. Jan |

| Looks like frosted glass and that you meant it to look that way! Wish all we had was frost.....it's so wet here at the moment, I'm thinking of dragging out the boat and oars! |

| kudz...happy to see that you are "sharing" our winter...but I hope all your plants will come back...nona's, too! We had warmer weather with lots of moisture last wk & frost on the trees...then rain & now snow again & back to the deep freeze! (but some sunshine finally!) TFS your pics! Cabin fever last week to "tromped" thru the snow out in our pines! Jeanne S.
And here's a little barn birdhouse in the woods:

love everyone's photos! but jeanne....that's beautiful! it got back up to 76,now grandson and i are sick with bronchitis again, waiting for another cold front. one more photo.....this is a pot offrozen water on back deck from last weeks arctic blast. the temps dropped so fast, this was almost completely frozen except for half an inch at the bottom. but a little 'tornado' shot up out of it as it froze. wish you could really see..looks just like when you swirl water in a clear bottle!

Well its blue skies and sunny here in Nh for the past couple of days. Cherry, I was in Kansas City MS for a family wedding a couple of weekends ago and I must say it wasn't much of a change weatherwise from up north. But the frost on the trees was gorgeous. You could tell it had come on fast. It was so foggy that we couldn't see far and get an idea of the greater world of Missouri. We traveled a ways into the couuntry side to my sil's home in KS and didnt'see a thing. I hope all your plants don't get ruined. I leave most of my garden junk out all winter. Its only a problem if water can collect and freeze so I'm careful to make things that water won't collect in. Kathy |

hehe Kathy...I'm on the tropical beaches of South Mississippi. It just doesn't get that cold here like we had during that freeze :D We may get cold in late January or February, but it's mostly cold at night, then warm during the day...just enough to drive you nuts! We start off decorating the Christmas tree in shorts and t-shirts and bare-foot, then by Christmas Day, it's chilly....maybe:D When it does get that cold, it's hard to find gloves and hats and coats, and you sure don't think about it the rest of the time....lol kudzu |

| Oh, kudzu, "tropical beach" is just a figment of my imagination!!! Sounds too good to be true...but am glad it warmed back up! I love your GJ ... and that tornado pot pic is great! That "goes to show ya" what we Northerners go thru for a extended period of time! Am anxious to do more GJ...building some bdhses for new lily garden will be next project this winter yet (I hope!) TFS pics! Jeanne S. |
Frozen pot pond!!

| Loved your pic Jeanne of the woods & little red barn birdhouse with the red jacket showing-perfect touch of red! The pot of water reminded me of lake I lived at, sometimes when it froze it was very windy then the ice would be like waves & so disappointing as couldn't skate on it that year. Only kid my age lived about 3/4 mile away.(Lot of cottages were for summer only) It was quick getting there on ice if I could skate over. Thanks for the pics!! Our weather is close to 70degrees. Very nice!! Jan |
