bed bench

I picked up a set of bunk bed headboard/footboards at a thrift shop - $5.00 for all four pieces. We finally got around to building one of them over the weekend. Now I need to paint it. I was happy with the way it turned out - I enlisted hubby's help. We just used scrap wood we had laying around. Not sure what color it will end up - possibly a medium sage green?

Looking good. what color are ya gonna make it. I 'm not having any luck finding the beds, maybe this spring clean up.

Very, very nice bench, you and DH did an excellent job. Please post a pic when it's painted. I vote for the Sage Green also.

It sure turned out great. I love these bed benches. I can't wait to see it painted. And you found a great deal! We spent about 5 dollars for a single twin bed at the thrift store. You get to have a matching set :)

Wow !! Love that bench. DH is a keeper !! I think that sage green would be perfect !! My kitchen is a light sage with a touch butter cream yellow and white trim on the windows and appliances are white. Really love it. Back to the bench :) are you going to make the other bed up the same? Where are you going to use it? I love it, I love it, I love it. Jealous in Oklahoma, Ellen

Thanks for all the comments. Yes, we plan to make the other bed also. Where to put it is the problem - I really don't have a place in mind. Just made it for fun. I might sell one at my garage sale and make a little money! Probably use the other on the porch or out in the garden. Will post a picture when painted - I've been really sick this week and haven't done anything.

I've decided it would really be fun to have a "recycled junk" shop!

I passed up a wood headboard and footboard on the way to work the other day - I know I know - But I figured I had to choose between my marriage and more garden junk - It was close, but let's be real - the garden junk doesn't help pay for garden junking, and he does. (LOL)
