wow the bluebonnets are beautiful. What a beautiful spring photo!! The potman is cute too. There are directions to make them on this forum somewhere. I also found a website that you can buy the parts to make one. I put the link below.

I have a craft book the basically show how to put the clay pot people together. Its mostly a process of knotting rope with metal washers above the knots to help hold it.
I've seen some really cute clay pot people but I've never taken the time to try to make one.
Somewhere I have a picture of a spider for halloween made the same way. It was really cute.

oh, the bluebonnets make me so homesick. My son in Georgetown just sent me a picture also. But what about those cabbages! Are they edible? They look great.

my sister LOVES Nutcrackers...what a great gift for her...could you please tell me what you used for the arms? Are they fabric? and is the brim of the hat painted on the face pot rim? Oh, thanks for any info!

I didn't actually make them, got them for a song at the local thrift. The arms are felt and feels like they are stuffed with cotton.The brim is black felt and feels like cardboard in it. The arms and the brim are glued to the rim of the pot and then the next pot glued on top of that, it is sandwiched in between.The rest is just ribbon, braid and gold rickrack. Googly eyes that I replaced, got at WalMart.
