I swear I posted how I painted these, but it seems to have gotten lost in outer space, oh well.... I printed the letters on my computer and then used tracing paper from the fabric store to transfer them to the plates. Then I painted them with outdoor paint, I was always good at coloring in the lines. I then sprayed with a sealer. Thanks for all the sweet comments.

How did you attach the plates to the board? So Cute!!

lucylou, I used a washer that is about an inch and half wide and a bolt with a flat head that fits flush with the washer, then I used GEII to glue the whole thing to the back of the plate. I drilled a hole in the board and stuck the bolt through and put on a nut. I put little pieces of board on the ends of the sign to keep the nuts from scraping or banging whatever it is hangin on. I think this will hold because the plates are not very heavy.
