junk railing

Since I had surgery on my foot, I realized how difficult steps can be without a railing. My husband went to his metal junk pile and this is what we came up. It ties in real well with all the other garden junk we have. The railing is made from two cow dividers from an old dairy barn and the wheel is something I picked up at an estate sale. The solid disc is from an old sheller(I think). I think we are going to add some old wrenches to connect all together. When the frost is gone Tim will put it in on our front steps. Can't wait! I think it will look great!

That will make a very sturdy railing. The wrenches will tie it all together. So of course tonight I got a great email called "the Wrench Guy" ,it didn't give his name but he lives near Boort Victoria so imagine that is in Canada. Everything out of wrenches & he is in a wheelchair. Maybe you have heard of him. I was so impressed. He has a woman on her toe & her leg is beautifully shaped, so he is also very artistic, Arbor is terrific, benches etc, all out of common car wrenches. Jan

"The Wrench Guy" lives in Boort. Victoria, Australia & just Google his title & all kinds of stuff will come up about how he makes beautiful things with old rusty wrenches!! Well worth a look!
