| Since we've gone "digital" ... no need for t.v. antenna on the roof anymore...DH took it apart and made these mini-deco birdhouses...I posted this earlier along with "starlight garden stakes" (link below).
DH cut some small logs from a downed branch, added some scraps of wood for roof & drilled hole in bottom. I drilled a small hole for deco of dried grasses & put a dab of gorilla glue to attach antenna stake.
We sold a few of these at our first Farmer's Market last Sat...but kept one in bird sanctuary area...this visitor found it useful today while waiting for his turn at the feeder:
Here's the bird sactuary ... it's looking better & the birds are loving it...See the box with the mini deco-bdhse?
So, recycle your antennas! Jeanne S.

| I love it and I'm not a bird! lol! Beautiful picture of the oriole, JeanneS. Clarejo, I bet you do have them in New Jersey. Just put out some pieces of fruit like oranges or even orange marmalade and watch. Love the "faux" birdhouses made from the TV antennaes too! I want to come see you at your farmer's market! |

| Thanks, everyone, appreciate your comments! My DH makes grape jelly/orange feeders for the Orioles...I'll post a couple pics...that's one hanging in the pergola/arbor... and, susieroses, inspired me to try a rose bush again...so that's why you see blooms already...it's a new rose bush! And the lilacs are blooming in the background...they're in a line along the ditch to help with gravel dust...ugh! And the tulips are blooming & everything growing...just lovin' all the rain, we've gotten...the test will be when we get the HEAT! But, come visit, anytime! Thanks again! Jeanne S. You can even see the grape jelly...smacking his beak!
Feasting in the rain, too!
