this is just a new plate flower I made for my old wheel barrel.These plants came back this year but wasn't showing signs of growing, so I planted Texas bluebonnet seeds my sister gave me right before she passed away,well,the seeds didn't sprout(maybe due to their age) but these came back from last year and I'm so glad..:)  |

| Bluebonnets are notorious for not coming up for 1-5 years after they are planted. The hard coat on each seed is very slow to break down. When the Texas Highway department planted bluebonnets along all the roadways several years ago, they used seeds that had been etched and/or scarified to aid in the breakdown of those seed coats. It will help if you take your seeds and rub them between a couple pieces of sandpaper. Scratching the coat that way will enhance the viability of your seeds. Cheryl |
