The other morning when I was walking real early, I found this pot and metal sun thingy. So I had to finish my last half block lugging them home. The pot was in need of paint and the sun was very rusty with a broken pottery face. I painted it then removed the broken face and replaced it with two plates (GS buy for .50) with some glass globs glued in the center. I had the paint and marbles, and got the Wave petunias on clearance for .75, so I spent $1.25 on this grouping.

Very nice. I think the sun is probably better with your plates than with a face.

I'm SO envious!! I've been wanting a sun for our fence and that's one of the best ones I've seen! There doesn't seem to be anything put on the curbs here, or at least very little.

Super score! That is a really neat sun design, and I like your plates on it much better than those pottery faces!

That is excellent! I LOVE that sun!!! Looks like it could be an wonderful stencil to paint suns all over your fence :)

YOU have got to be one of the luckiest ladies I know! What awesome finds....I'm envious too! They look great Frou! Great job...both in scoring them and in restoring them.
