Bowling Balls and Lady Bugs?

Oh yes in deed. I couldn't help myself! They were so cut as whole bowling balls I wanted twice ans many as I had so I cut them in half....LOL not an easy task. But I jsut love them. More pics on my blog check em out!

Ladybug explosion! LOL. They are super cute. I don't know how you cut all those bowling balls, but nice job. My favorite is the up front on the right. LOL, something about her big brown eyes and eyelashes.

WOWSERS! Our young daughter LOVES lady bugs and has asked me to make her one! (We just picked up a bowling ball from Freecycle!) How did you cut them. You are sooooo creative!

Hey to all !!! Wow I love em too!!! ?To answer most yes it was difficult to cut them in half. We marked the center with masking tape. Placed it ontop of a round can a little smaller than the ball took short cuts with a skil saw and then turned the ball, continuing all the way around. You won't be able to cut all the way so in order to cut the rest we dug a hole jsut the size of the ball and finished cutting the center with reciprocating saw..(sawzall) voila....

Tape the center around the ball placing the tape between the thumb and finger holes. we used the half with the two holes for the girls and the half with one inserted a cork and added wired eyes and antennas.
