I had to get plants to put in them. Only got the short one planted. Ran outta dirt.

Can still imagine my sweet aunt who lived to 109 & weighed about 90 lbs taking the coal bucket & filling it up & putting some in the stove. It was like it hardly weighed anything, she had done it so long it was just second nature. She always told me to"get back honey" when she did it & sometimes it did kind of flare up. Kept the kitchen warm & sure had good homemade bread from the oven so she knew just how to regulate it. We had to put coal in the furnace in the basement of 1 room school house, too. I usually got out of that as I couldn't lift it when it was full. Glad it has a much more pleasant use these days. Like the old-fashioned looking flowers in it, they look like they belong there. My coal buckets all have thte bottoms rusted out--can't plant in them. I hang them on shepards crooks 'just for looks'.
Yours looks great with the plants.
