Tipsy Pot help needed

This is the 2nd year I've had them up ... I've taken them down now. I just can't figure out how to keep the dirt in them so I can plant real flowers in them . Since the pots are tipped - my dirt kept washing out . Is there a secret to doing this ? Last year - I had a mix of tiny gravel & dirt in each one - and stuck silk flowers in them. They blew away ...LOL . I'd love to re-do them .... could you share your ideas on how to keep real OR silk flowers in them ??

RE: Tipsy Pot help needed

I've had silk flowers in mine for several years. I put a piece of styrofoam in the bottom, stick in the flowers, add the fake moss, and even in some heavy duty windstorms (over 40 mph) nothing has blown away. I do have a couple of small spider plants in the tipsy pot in my backyard, and I put the bark mulch in there and just water with the hose on low. No problem with the dirt washing out unless I have the water coming out too hard.

Hope you can solve your tipsy pot problem and get to enjoy them.
hugs, Karen
