New to me rain barrel with hose hookup at bottom will not drain out the hose. Anyone know what may be restricting the flow?

My DH said that he thinks the bend in the valve is too sharp...90 degree bends tend to clog very easily as do the type of valve you have. He suggests removing the hose and opening the valve and sticking a wire inside the brass fitting to loosen whatever is stuck there. But, prepare to get wet as well! Good luck.

They can get leaves and debris carried off the roof by the water. Does it have a screen over the top to filter out debris?
