I would try local greenhouses and nurseries. I've been surprised how many are now jumping on the trend and carrying plants and supplies. I am in Wooster, Ohio and there are several around me. What part are you from?

NE Ohio...I know Rice's up in Canton has an area for fairy gardens...including small trees. My local one...that I deal with often...not so much. Just was not sure I wanted to drive an hour to get there. Lol

I'm from the other side of Carrollton,Ohio. Very rural...you may have just twisted my arm though...I may have to head up that way.

Our garden centers here have huge arrays of options. Why mail order when local is very accessible? Local plants do best.

Probably many others but these are some I've frequented.

I actually use perennial groundcovers in mine - very hard, can take drought and abuse, and just keep them pinched back to contain them. Also much cheaper - any of the sedums, hen & chicks, thyme (many varieties), etc. Plus once you have them planted, you can take cuttings off of them as they root very easily

Luvs2click...never thought of ground cover. Was at my local nursery...no fairy garden plants...but, hadn't thought of ground cover. Thanks...

If it weren't an hour drive...actually a bit more the way I drive...I wouldn't hesitate to go to the nursery that sells them. I just happen to have had luck with bonsai with reputable nurseries...that, I thought why not the fairy garden.

My son is sick...he's older...but I hate to go very far with any one sick. So...no Canton trip as of yet.

I use ground covers like creeping thyme. But I also like sedums because they are very hardy and can be easily groomed.
