Old galvenized Wash Tub

Last but not least, the old wash tub. The flowers in this one were all found on the discount table at Lowes. The yellow ones (not sure what they are called) were 25 cents each and are supposed to sprawl out. Hopefully they will, and fill in the empty spots. The Zinnias were $1 for a big pot of 'em. They should bloom all Summer as long as I dead head 'em! I spent more $$ on the dirt than I did on both the tub and flowers combined! Kathy

That is soooo pretty. There's nothing like flowers in a rustic metal or ole wooden barrel. It reminds of my younger years with my grandmother and her passion for growing flowers in whatever she could find...de

Catches my eye! Love this one, too! Jeanne S. ...and those yellow flowers will be even more beautiful as summer goes on!

It's beautiful. Those yellow flowers appear to be Coreopsis...a perennial. I would move them to the garden come fall if it were me. I have a patch of them in the garden and they bloom so beautifully all summer long.

Be Safe, Rach

Love the wash tub and the flowers! Just beautiful! The wooden handles on the wash tub are nifty too! So glad to see you posting again! I've missed ya! Bear Hugs! Kirk

I don't think they are Coreopsis, Rach, though the flowers are very similar. The blossoms stay close to the foliage and the pots they were in said "Summer Annual" on them. I'll let them overwinter though and see what they do (I've got some in the ground too... at 25 cents each, I bought a bunch of 'em!) Kathy

Way cool! I have one in the yard right now with "surprise" tomato plant in it.
I will be making other plans for next year!
